Balancing Your Spiritual Life

Balancing Your Spiritual Life

Let’s examine how we can progress to the position of having the Spirit reveal to us the deep things of God. I Cor 2:10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

We often struggle with ideas that are foreign to what we have been taught. This causes us to put up mental roadblocks even in the realm of what we can do. For example, if you were taught that God no longer is a healing God by someone you respected and trusted then you will probably have a roadblock about divine healing. I understand where you are coming from. We can position ourselves for the revelation of the deeper things of God when we allow the Word of God to be the final authority for our lives and examine the word with the prayer from Psalm 119:18 “Open my eyes to see the miracle-wonders hidden in your word”. TPT

Psa 119:18  “Open my eyes so I can see what you show me of your miracle-wonders”. MSG

The idea is to have the Holy Spirit help us to rightly divide the word.  2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. KJV   Many will argue that the word is inerrant but struggle with certain doctrines because they have been taught something different or interpreted a passage differently than the Spirits intent.

Mark 2 tells the account of the lame man being lowered through the roof by his friends to get him to Jesus. Verse 12 says “He arose, took up the bed and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God”. Here is the response of those who witnessed this healing miracle. “We never saw anything like this”. They were amazed and glorified God because they knew that Jesus had healed the man. But this was an extraordinary event that forced them to step outside their everyday realm into the realm of the supernatural. Isn’t that what God wants to do for us, bring us out of the realm of roadblocks especially when they limit his capability to move in our lives.

Friend do you feel that tug of the Holy Spirit on your heart saying dig in and let me show you truths in my Word that you have never seen before. Truths that will help you to see God the way His Word proclaims Him and in the process help you to remove barriers.  The Spirit will expand your level of intimacy with our Lord. Be open to Gods counsel and let God take you to a deeper path in Him.
